SYSTEMS ANALYST - SCRUM TEAM

Position Description

This position is responsible to serve as an active and self-motivated Scrum Team member you contribute to successful delivery of an organizational Encounter Data Solution. This position is primarily responsible for providing support for the Encounters application and related databases or systems ensuring UCare meets the accuracy and timeliness requirements for our regulatory agencies. This includes responding to incidents, escalating issues when appropriate, conducting application maintenance and upgrades, and ensuring that the application is optimized with respect to its overall performance and ability to satisfy business requirements.

• Manage the Encounters calendar. Ensure the production calendar accurately reflects user operations, system support operations, migrations to new releases, and any other events which could impact throughput. Communicate these events to all stake-holders.

• Document and report system and/or application issues to users and development staff in a timely manner, including all relevant information and an assessment of the priority level of an issue; document system changes in the system log. Ensure system issues are appropriately closed.

• Act as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent providing expertise and technical guidance on complex Encounters projects across several lines of business.

• Assist Product Owner with Product Backlog Management and user story development and prioritization {all positions}

• Participate in Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective and Daily Scrum stand-ups.

• Participate as a member of the Development Team

• Provide transparent and continual feedback to Scrum team members and post sprint updates to Product Owners for backlog refinement

• Document and develop requirements for multiple system components (i.e., database, applications, operations, system environment, etc.).

• Collaborate and align cross-functionally with the business to understand/influence business requirements while considering IT goals and objectives and new and emerging technologies.

• Create and maintain system monitoring, automation, scheduling, and alert processes.

• Perform weekend and evening support as needed or scheduled.

• In conjunction with the Data Services team, ensure that any data collected is being properly managed in accordance with policies regarding privacy, archival and retention.

• Assist as needed with applications supported by the ITSM & Systems Support Team within IS.

• Other projects and duties as assigned

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Expertise in the implementation, support and troubleshooting of production environments. Experience with system and application linkages to enterprise monitoring, automation, and dashboards. Biztalk exposure including 837 and other EDI transaction experience. Four or more years of experience with business and technology leadership, leading or mentoring teams, working with cross functional teams. Eight or more years of technical experience with systems analysis, design.

Preferred Experience

Knowledge in UNIX and Windows operating systems. Understanding of relational database concepts with experience using SQL Server or Oracle. Knowledge of scheduling tools, preferably Appworx or UC4/Automic. Technical knowledge of UNIX, Oracle, scripting, troubleshooting techniques, and system analysis skills. Two years working in Agile teams with experience in developing/updating Epics, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria and project documentation. Knowledge and/or experience with Encounters.
