A role in Supply Planning means ensuring that the supply, capacity, production and inventory plans are established in conjunction with demand plans and manufacturing processes to meet business needs at the vendor, factory and/or mill level. The role will ensure that capacity is available to manufacturer the right product, at the right time and in the right location. The role is one of the key links between the close to business team and the vendor / manufacturing factories.

As a Supply Planning Director (Minneapolis), you will support and influence the strategy and develop the operating model for close to business collaboration and alignment on capacity plans (supply). You will lead the close to business teams who will be aligned by merchandise pyramid(s) and/or sourcing categories. As a new role within Owned Brand Sourcing and Development, you will lead the evolution of supply planning people, processes and technology needed for close to business. You will lead and coordinate the close to business planning for assigned departments and/or categories to ensure on-time and complete shipments. You will partner with CFT to ensure we are receiving the best demand information. Critical to the role is building strong and influential relationships with Global Sourcing, Merchandise Planning, Inventory Management, Merchants, Assortment Planning, Merchandise Finance, Brand Management, Responsible Sourcing and Quality Assurance to deliver on owned-brand business goals. You help develop, track and refine close to business supply-related KPI's and identify data needed to help drive the business forward.

Additional responsibilities include:

Supply Planning - Lead the team (for assigned area) create and maintain supply plans that are aligned with Enterprise Strategy, Enterprise LRP, Enterprise Brand Plans and Sourcing Strategy Team Leadership - Develop a diverse world-class team providing development, coaching, motivation, support and feedback to team members. Create a positive atmosphere of teamwork, inclusion and collaboration. Operational Results - Lead the team to deliver on capacity utilization goals, which should drive financial results for the business by ensuring we are delivering against the business demand on-time and complete. Global/Business Partner Knowledge - Have a strong understanding of the global and domestic economic landscape, at both country of production and vendor/factory matrix levels. Capable of synthesizing knowledge of global landscape and business strategies. Cross-Functional Leadership - Build collaborative partnerships across multiple functions within headquarters and global Target Sourcing Services offices. Quickly identify business interdependencies and needs and influences business plans.

About you:
  • 4-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years relevant sourcing or planning experience - position levels vary based on experience
  • Deep knowledge of and experience in product supply chain, manufacturing and planning
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills, including ability to influence and align cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and financial skills
  • Ability to work with varying groups of people across the company to achieve business results
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize among competing deliverables and collaborate with and influence a broad group of partners and stakeholders
