Job Description:
Small Formats are a critical pillar of our growth strategy and Target continues to invest in opening and maintaining these unique stores to capture new guests and markets. The Small Formats portfolio has double in the last 3 years, with a projection to continue that growth rate for the next 3 years. As a member of the Small Formats within IM Ops, you will contribute to this enterprise priority and be responsible for building and executing the Small Format replenishment strategies to exceed guest expectations and maintain safe store operations. In addition you'll be driving results in collaboration with a broad network of partners across Inventory Management, Inventory Management Operations, Store Operations, Properties, and Merchandising.

- Proactively identify inventory trends to deliver optimal inventory positions for Small Formats to drive sales and a strong guest experience while minimizing labor and safety risks in stores
- Cater chain inventory and replenishment strategy to Small Formats for priority transitions, company space, and key seasons
- Adopt, adapt, and advance Small Format inventory strategies with cut-over to IPC to support the needs of these unique stores, in collaboration with IPC and Core IM
- Partner with Small Format merchandising and store ops to develop processes and routines to drive continuous improvement and support collective business priorities
- Problem solve defects in stores and provide solutions to store feedback through mysupports, escalations, and store visits
- Coach and develop Core IM organization to understand Small Format best practices, processes, and integrate unique Small Format needs into everyday routines
- Work closely with New Store and Small Formats Capabilities team members to identify process and capability gaps and implement sustainable solutions
- Become the expert. Learn new problem solving skills to identify root cause, demonstrate deep understanding, educate others, and develop sustainable solutions
Requirements: Do not need to meet all requirements to be considered
- 4-year degree
- 2+ years experience in Target Global Supply Chain & Logistics or merchandising roles
- Ability to drive business results through best practices and routines, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends and proactive problem solve, consistently using data to tell the story
- Ability to challenge the status quo amongst peers and stakeholders, openly share perspectives in a large group, and engage in debate to drive a better outcome for the business and team
- Demonstrates curiosity and learns quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Desire to interact and build partnerships with teams outside of Inventory Management including broader Merchandising, Properties, Store Ops, Space & Planning.
- Working understanding of Target IM Replenishment systems
- Demonstrates flexibility, resiliency, and nimbleness; comfortable working in 'grey areas' that are constantly changing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Prefer candidates with previous GSCL experience/exposure (HQ: Global Inventory Management, Field Operations, Transportation; or Field: Distribution Center Operations Management)
