Description:
As a Senior Manager, Associate Creative Director - Muticultural Audiences, you'll be a driving force in Target Creative by leading a creative team that supports our Multicultural audiences. Your support for your team will include overseeing their development by providing motivation, coaching, and advocacy. You will establish strategies for achieving individual and team goals that align to the broader Target Creative vision and drive successful outcomes.

Alongside leading a team, you will also lead campaigns that connect our brand with Black guests. You will use both creative skill and audience knowledge to guide work that celebrates, resonates and furthermore helps to build and maintain meaningful connections with the Black community. You'll provide the creative vision to guide and inspire internal and external creative teams/agencies to meet and exceed business and marketing objectives. You will articulate Target's brand (voice and culture) to infuse the work with an unmistakable Target approach, seamlessly integrating a multicultural lens. Your work will live across channels, including Video, Social, Digital, Display, Direct Mail, and In-Store Experiences.

Multi-tasking and collaborating with partners across creative and marketing disciplines, you are responsible for providing clear, actionable and timely feedback, and meeting project deadlines. You are comfortable in hands-on creation, as well as guiding the work and in presenting to partners across the organization. You will need to demonstrate excellent taste level and experience in photo/art direction, graphic design, and typography. Critical to this role is staying current with retail trends and experiences, developing competent base knowledge of categories and guest behaviors, and being a passionate advocate for great design.

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of industry experience including video, direct mail, social, digital, influencers and experiential marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop people, including providing meaningful feedback and managing performance
  • Experience developing successful work for Black audiences.
  • Strong conceptual skills and expertise in typography and use of photography
  • Possesses refined presentation and negotiation skills, and the ability to align partners in high stakes moments.
  • Ability to lead the team through challenging moments, keeping them motivated and results-focused.
  • Flexible to travel (weekends included)
