JOB POSITION: Lead Project Manager SC

LOCATION: 1000 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403

DUTIES: Work as a key partner bridging the gap between transportation operations and product management; collaborate with leaders to develop and understand various transportation strategies and produce assessments of current gaps in our supply chain; develop comprehensive product requirements documentation to ensure that we are able to translate strategies into working technology; define business problems and conduct detailed analysis to identify root causes and potential solutions; structure an approach to initiative management and conduct milestone planning and sequencing across portfolio of transportation work in partnership with cross-functional teams; delegate and influence across a diverse set of stakeholder groups, ensuring a common understanding of goals and objectives, and identifying and monitoring tasks to ensure timetables are met and resources are coordinated properly; work with Sr. Leaders to gain support and prioritization of initiatives and track project expenses against budget; identify risks and dependencies and drive resolution, as well as provide inputs to other cross pyramid functions, such as metrics development, analytics, and financial modeling; and coordinate effective governance of cross-team activities. Skills used include: logistics product systems, including Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Yard Management Systems (YMS) and their interdependent services to accurately analyze business problem and recommend a scalable solution; subject-matter expertise in the transportation operational and system space to effectively translate current and future state of company objectives into implementable solutions; implement Agile method of product deployment from definition, discovery to implementation for a large enterprise.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a closely related field and at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in transportation (any title) performing complex analysis/modeling to support global operations or transportation portfolio, developing metrics and dashboards/databases to communicate business trends or process changes, driving process improvements, analyzing logistics and suppliers, and including at least three (3) years of experience using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and assessing the financial impact of changes in routing, sourcing, volume, and product mix.
