SYSTEM ANALYST SENIOR - ENCOUNTERS EDI

Position Description
This position is responsible for day-to-day operations of Encounters; including researching EDI transactions for rejects and errors to identify and fix problems at the source. Ensure UCare meets the accuracy and timeliness requirements with Encounters for our regulatory agencies; this also includes researching, analyzing, and correcting previously submitted and rejected encounters.

• Responsible for all Encounters submissions to meet compliance deadlines. Ensure accurate and timely Encounter file processing and submission to State and Federal agencies.

• Analyze and interprets Encounter EDI data to identify potential issues and trends; Review, research, investigate and correct encounter issues through data and process analysis.

• Document and report system and/or application issues to business, scrum team, and internal IT members in a timely manner, including all relevant information and assessment of the priority level of an issue. Ensure issues are appropriately closed.

• Propose short-term and long-term solutions for fixing Encounters data validation errors and rejects to improve submission and acceptance rates and to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Act as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent providing expertise and technical guidance on complex Encounters projects across several lines of business.

• Create and maintain system monitoring, automation, scheduling, and alert processes.

• Collaborate and align cross-functionally with the business to understand/influence business requirements while considering IT goals and objectives and new and emerging technologies.

• Participate as a member of a Scrum team in Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective and Daily Scrum stand-ups. Assist Product Owner with Product Backlog Management, user story development, and prioritization in regard to meeting Application Support needs

• Perform weekend and evening support as needed or scheduled.

• In conjunction with the Application Support, business, and Scrum teams, ensure that any data collected is being properly managed in accordance with policies regarding privacy, archival and retention.

• Assist as needed with applications supported by the Application Support Team within IT.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience
Eight years technical experience with systems analysis, design. Four years' experience with business and technology leadership, leading or mentoring teams and working with cross functional teams. Analytical and product management skills required, including how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Experience in the implementation, support and troubleshooting of production environments. Experience with system and application linkages to enterprise monitoring, automation, and dashboards. BizTalk exposure including 837, 835 and other EDI transaction experience.

Preferred Experience
Knowledge and/or experience with Encounters. Knowledge of Windows operating systems. Knowledge of scheduling tools, preferably UC4/Automation Engine/One Automation. Exposure to Biztalk/Biztalk360 for monitoring and troubleshooting. Experience working in Agile teams with experience in developing/updating User Stories, Acceptance Criteria and project and support documentation.
