Description:
Lead Product Owner - Enterprise Sustainability Data
About us:
Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers.
Behind one of the world's best loved brands is a uniquely capable and brilliant team of data scientists, engineers and analysts. The Target Data Science & Analytics team creates the tools and data products to enable our business partners to make great data-based decisions at Target. We help develop the technology that personalizes the guest experience, from product recommendations to relevant ad content. We're the source of the data and analytics behind Target's Internet of Things (iOT) applications, fraud detection, Supply Chain optimization and demand forecasting. We play a key role in identifying A/B test opportunities that continuously help Target improve the guest experience, whether in stores or at Target.com
About the Job:
As a Lead Product Owner in Data Science & Analytics, you work closely with engineering teams to build analytical data products and strategies that enable data driven decision making across Target. By building these data capabilities and keeping current with the ever-changing big data industry, you will help shape the direction and adoption of future data analytics.
As the Lead Product Owner for Enterprise Sustainability and Responsible Sourcing analytical data you will partner closely with the Corporate Responsibility and Target Owned Brands Responsible Sourcing teams to identify and prioritize certified data pipelines to measure Target's impact on people, the planet and our business. Your product team of data engineers will build and maintain datasets that will fuel investor disclosures, feed analytical models and be the foundation of metrics to drive decision making for Target's key sustainability and responsible sourcing initiatives.
In this position you will be at the center of where business, product, analytics, data platforms, and data engineering meet. You will work in the product model and will develop a comprehensive product strategy, capability roadmap, and set Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), prioritizing a backlog to focus on the highest impact data work for your stakeholders.
You will capture 'voice of customer' and establish routines to create a shared understanding with your engineering team on the business initiatives and the data needed to drive. You will collaborate with multiple upstream product teams to prioritize dependencies and enhancements to address data gaps. You will also manage stakeholder relationships with multiple user bases that have analytical data needs your product can serve.
You will build a solid knowledge base on Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) industry best practices and their data implications. You will also stay current on the changing dynamics in ESG including consumer perceptions, investor expectations and competitive trends.
