JOB POSITION: Senior Engineer

LOCATION: 7000 Target Parkway North, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445

DUTIES: Apply software engineering patterns to build and implement robust, scalable, and secure systems. Serve as a specialist on the engineering team that supports the product, developing and gaining insight into application architecture. Develop new systems that support edge computing deployments. Lead the design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership. Lead and conduct code review, design review, testing, and debugging activities at the application level. Initiate and execute research and proof-of-concept activities. Work with software virtualization and containerization technologies. Build products and features with security mindset. Participate in construction, automation, and implementation activities. Provide technical oversight and coach others to resolve technical issues. Lead disaster recovery activities and contribute to disaster recovery planning. Introduce metrics and monitoring alerts. Keep current on emerging technology, and recommend technology to optimize for flexibility, long-term viability, and time to market. Mentor fellow engineers and helps conducting technical interviews. Tools and Technologies: NoSQL, Spinnaker, Hazelcast, RESTful/Spring, API, Spring Boot, Python, Golang, Kubernetes, InfluxDB, Grafana, Java, Redis, REST / SOAP API, Drone, Spinnaker, K8s, Jenkins, Kafka, Open MQ, Groovy, Ratpack, Mockito, microservices.

REQUIREMENTS: At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field, and five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in software applications or systems development (any title), conducting systems analysis, studying systems flow, data usage and work processes, engaging in disaster recovery, mentoring software engineers, working with clients and cross-functional departments, and including at least one (1) year using NoSQL, Hazelcast, RESTful/Spring, Java, Scala, Golang, Jenkins, Kafka, and microservices.
