A role with Target Brand Marketing + Social Media is an opportunity to create clear and compelling strategies that engage key audiences and drive brand equity and loyalty to increase Target's share of shopping trips. You will apply your deep understanding of the marketing landscape and guest attitudes and behaviors to build industry-leading plans and content to achieve Target's business objectives. You will connect across key partners, including Guest Insights, Media Strategy, Creative, Finance and Project Management. Your deep social expertise will support your assigned strategies to maximize relevance and competitive advantage. Your commitment to partnership and collaboration will rally internal and external partners across functions-from Marketing to world-class agencies to industry influencers. As a Social Marketing Associate, you will lead our social engagement efforts for our

Gen-Z guest and coordinate reactive content tailored for the Gen-Z audience. You will continuously monitor & moderate guest conversation for trends and opportunities to engage this audience. You will develop daily guest-centric engagement and response strategies; independently execute qualified 1:1 responses and engagements on Target and guest content, mine for relevant UGC and obtain appropriate permissions for use in Target properties. Assist with day-to-day publishing of planned content for all social platforms in accordance with platform best practices. You will share timely, guest-led and cultural insights with Content Strategy Manager and other partners to help advance engagement and content strategies. Partner with Social Analyst to evaluate & track performance of organic content; consult with Social Analyst on implementation of relevant hashtags to extend our reach organically. You will identify content opportunities, co-concept and create or commission content for Instagram and TikTok leveraging brand, UGC, influencer and original assets based on guest signals, conversations, cultural trends, enterprise priorities & established editorial framework. Engage key partners to take content ideas from conception to execution. Leverage traditional creative programs and tools, mobile apps and existing platform features the way GenZ uses them. Develop post copy in accordance with editorial direction, ensuring authentic voice for the audience.

About you:
  • College degree required
  • 1-2 years relevant work experience
  • Passion for social media, pop culture and retail
  • Deep knowledge of digital and social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat) and content

development on these platforms
  • Strong creative eye for content native to each social platform
  • Background in one or more of the following: graphic and digital design, photography, video

editing
  • Proven experience with one or more of the following social media design tools:

Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Spark, Canva, InShot
  • Demonstrated ability and track record of building and maintaining robust cross-channel

management strategy (TikTok, Instagram)
  • Strong written & verbal communication + attention to detail
  • Excellent time and project management skills; ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Analytical, able to distill, synthesize and draw conclusions on raw data. Ability to assess

ROI and program effectiveness.
  • Forward thinking, naturally curious, self-starter
  • Must be able to work independently as well as cross-functionally
