JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for welding of steel and aluminum parts using a MIG and TIG processes. Working closely with leadership to ensure that all tasks are completed on schedule. This position requires the ability to read drawings and produce a consistently quality product. This is a hands on position that requires a focus on safety. This position reports to the Production Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Setting up welding machines for each specific task
  • Reading and interpreting drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
  • MIG and TIG welding steel and aluminum components based on the specifications of the drawings
  • Ensuring that work is done safely, meets quality standards and achieve standard rates
  • Operating machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators
  • Planning ahead with to ensure that all tasks are completed on time
  • Maintaining areas of work to 6S standards

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Plant environment with outside loading and unloading of trucks
  • Rapidly changing demands, schedules, and deadlines
  • Majority of the day on your feet
  • Extended use of telephone and computer
  • Working with hazardous materials, including fuels, lubricants, drilling fluids, and batteries while wearing the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • 2:45pm-11:45pm working hours, Monday – Friday
  • Overtime as necessary
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Preferred 2+ years of manufacturing or field experience with MIG and TIG welding
  • Welding certification, a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to be certified to operate a forklift and use other heavy equipment
