West CAP, an innovative, forward thinking community action organization serving low-income families is recruiting a new position, a full-time Communications/Grant Writer Specialist. The position location may be flexible and remote work options available.

Position is responsible for West CAP’s communications through varied media platforms and publications, researching funding sources and writing grants for current and new program services, and supporting positive funder and donor relations.  

Required qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field, with 2 years grant-writing or other professional writing experience. Skills in presentation of information in varied in various forms, including written, graphic, and verbal in-person and virtual settings.  Photography skills a plus. Public Relations and research competencies, including data research. Knowledge of and, preferably, experience in Human Services preferred.  Computer skills are requisite, including word processing and spreadsheets, and some graphic design. Writing sample and other visual media sample required.
