SERVICENOW DEVELOPER

Location : Minneapolis, MN

Position Description

Develop software implementations, maintain, and document technical improvements to the ServiceNow platform, using industry-standard technologies such as JavaScript, Angular, HTML, CSS, and REST API's. Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of information Systems (IS) service offerings and business need to ensure software solutions increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the ServiceNow platform. Configure and improve core and custom software applications and develop systems integrations and process automation for the ServiceNow platform. Interpret business requirements for small system enhancements and projects and translate requirements into detailed design systems including process and data flows, screen, and report specifications. Test and analyze technical requirements to ensure a smooth implementation of new software enhancements, applications or modules to support business requirements. Provide assistance to the ServiceNow Administrator Lead to coordinate application and platform upgrades. Build an understanding of Service Management service level agreements/key performance indicators, and work to ensure they are minimally affected by software changes in the ServiceNow platform. Ensure that methodologies/processes are standardized and utilized for all forms of Information Technology Systems Management (ITSM). Provide general technical support as a subject matter expert (SME), for the ServiceNow platform and associated applications. Collaborate with internal end-users to resolve support issues within ServiceNow as needed. Collaborate with other IT staff to guide Service Management best practices and documentation for software changes. Communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications - verbally or through written documentation - to management, staff, and other employees so that issues are well understood. Gather requirements from the different stack holders of the project. Design, configure, develop, and test custom Service Now forms, tables, and workflows based on business requirements. Utilize the following tools and technologies: MySQL, HTML, JavaScript.

Education

Position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related field of study.

Required Experience

Qualified candidate must have at least 3 years (36 months) of cloud computing software development experience, including at least 3 years (36 months) of experience working with the following tools and technologies: MySQL or SQL, HTML, and JavaScript. Qualified candidate must have at least 3 year (36 months) of experience (a) administering Service Now platform in an enterprise environment, (b) creating Service Now update sets, promoting and testing through multiple instances and into production, (c) with ITSM practices, process flow analysis and methodology development, (d) designing, developing and implementing ITSM practices, facilitation programs and process review, (e) documenting change control procedures in user-friendly language, and (f) supporting the implementation of Service Now installation, including managing system configurations, gathering and documenting user and process requirements, developing workflow customizations, and performing quality assurance testing and user acceptance testing. All experience may be gained concurrently.
