JOB POSITION: Senior Engineer
LOCATION: 1000 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403
DUTIES: Design, develop, and support innovative solutions across a variety of applications, platforms, and environments; utilize continuous delivery in mobile application development, including test and behavior-driven design, code review, static analysis, continuous integration, automation, and functional testing; keep abreast of technology trends and advances in mobile and wearable technologies; distribute mobile applications via public application stores and enterprise channels; develop application architecture and distill abstract architecture into software design using a thorough understanding of implementation issues and core development platforms; build custom software solutions using knowledge of package-specific configuration and deployment; apply software engineering patterns and programming expertise to build high-performance, scalable, repeatable, and secure deliverables with broad commercial impact (high throughput and low latency); apply and maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies within specialized areas of Target's technology domain; perform functional design and architecture discussions with understanding of process flows and system diagrams to enable software design decisions; research, evaluate and provide objective feedback on technologies; inform innovation design with relevant technology insights; engage in disaster recovery activities and contribute to disaster recovery planning;; and innovate constantly and maintain the technical edge. Tools and technologies used: Android Studio, Charles, Flipper, GraphQL, Firebase, Gradle, Crashlytics, GitHub, Jira, XCode, Blender, CI tools, Java, Kotlin, XML, JSON, C, C++, and OpenGL.
REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or closely related field and at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in mobile application development (any title) including at least three (3) years of experience developing and testing code for mobile applications and performing test driven development, and using Android Studio, Charles, Firebase, Gradle, GitHub, Jira, XCode, Java, Kotlin, XML, JSON, C, and C++.
