CLINICAL OPEREATIONS MANAGER

Position Description
This position is responsible for leading the Operations team within Clinical Services. Collaborate within Clinical Services and cross-functionally to improve operations and better serve UCare members and providers. Coordinate and support projects within Clinical Services and the Quality of Care review process. Responsible for operations strategy development, team initiatives, process improvement, and the development and maintenance of policies and procedures. Interpret and apply state and federal regulatory mandates to support audit readiness and accreditation.

• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and performance standards for the Clinical Operations team. Provide leadership and direction to staff, including mentoring and coaching as appropriate.

• Responsible for the Quality of Care review process. Establish a baseline of compliance, regulatory and accreditation risk. Identify areas of potential exposure, develop solutions to resolve identified gaps and opportunities, and implement strategies for audit readiness.

• Collaborate with UCare Government Programs and Corporate Compliance departments to ensure the Quality of Care review process is consistently ready for regulatory and accreditation audits.

• Build and leverage effective cross-functional relationships, influence and support a culture of compliance.

• Ensure a process to support that all departmental policies, procedures, and job aids are reviewed at an appropriate cadence and contain required regulatory and accreditation related elements.

• Maintain a comprehensive and sustainable project coordination process. Work collaboratively with teams to support the business owner. Provide predetermined status updates to monitor progress, deliverables, milestones, timelines, resource allocation, problem solving strategies and outcomes that will result in successful implementation of projects.

• Represent Clinical Operations in internal/ external work groups and initiatives as assigned by the Clinical Services Operations Director.

• Manage relationships and coordinated efforts with delegated vendors as assigned.

• Foster employee engagement and support the values of UCare while delivering on member and provider satisfaction.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education
Bachelor's degree in business, public health, or a Registered Nurse with current and unrestricted Minnesota license; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Master's Degree in Business or health care field preferred.

Required Experience
Five years supervisory or management experience in a health plan, managed care organization, or clinical setting. Experience with program performance measurement, data, reporting, and analysis. Knowledge of State and Federal regulations, experience with national accreditation standards.

Preferred Experience
Experience with vendor delegation and oversight. Proficiency with Tableau or other reporting tools. Accreditation, auditing, and process improvement experience is preferred.
