The Solutions Architect II serves as a technical expert in software development. Responsible for ensuring that the most current and most appropriate technologies are integrated into the organization. Responsible for setting the standards for new software applications

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, develop and debug applications in various software languages

  • Leverage creativity and drive innovation

  • Create technology Proof of Concept (POC)

  • Interact directly with Toro business leaders to create high value solutions

  • Lead software development teams utilizing appropriate executive methodologies (Agile, RUP, etc.) 6. Coordinate software testing and quality assurance with QA Teams

  • Offer technical expertise and guidance to entire project/product team

  • Drive process and product improvements to aspire to higher productivity and quality levels

  • Collaborate directly with business leaders and customers to optimize business opportunities with technology applications

Job Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or Related

  • 10+ years of software development, programming, and analytical experience with 4 years in as software development team leadership role.

  • Applicable Applications Experience:

    • Microsoft Software Technologies – Design and development experience

      • Visual Studio 2019 and .NET 4.0 – C#, ASP.NET, WCF

      • HTML, CSS, JavaScript

      • SQL Server 2012 and higher

    • Experience with application testing principles and frameworks

    • Application Integration Design experience

      • Web Services – XML, SOAP, WSDL, REST

      • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience

    • Azure

      • Azure DevOps

      • Azure Cosmos

      • Azure Function Apps

      • Azure App Services

      • Azure Storage

      • Azure SQL

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Fundamental knowledge of SAP

    • Some experience with Java, J2EE

    • Cloud Based Architectures

  • Capabilities:

    • Ability to work effectively in a team

    • Effectively guide and direct other development resources

    • Ability to analyze architecture, design, and software implementation to identify risk, assess quality and locate defects

    • Schedule, organize and complete work in accordance with deadlines

    • Communicate effectively with co-workers, Quality Assurance staff, system users, analysts, and management

    • Prepare technical reports and diagrams

    • Maintain knowledge of the latest application development technology

    • Ability to create, understand and implement technical software specifications and design

    • Deliver work in alignment with quality standards

    • Resolve Customer Service issues effectively and efficiently

    • Ability to work on multiple products/projects with overlapping timeline

    • Ability to adapt technology solutions to changing business need and goals

  • Uses a broad and deep understanding of technical concepts in multiple specialized fields to develop solutions to problems and critical design issues.
