MBE PROJECT COORDINATOR

Position Description

This position is responsible to lead and manage department projects and initiatives; including small and medium size projects, track and report on department initiatives, create and maintain standard documentation, assist in creating project plans, and manage and triage new and current issues.

• Plan, execute and complete department projects timely. Regularly communicate status updates throughout the project.

• Identify challenges to project sponsor and stakeholders. Research solution, recommend solution options, implement solution, and communicate updates as necessary.

• Develop and maintain project documentation and artifacts; including charters, risk registers, issues logs, etc.

• Create and manage department tracking system for projects and initiatives.

• Serve as main point of contact for department projects, initiatives, and issues.

• Create, manage, and serve as the department point person for organizational systems that store department information. This will include SharePoint and shared drive management.

• Recommend, implement, and manage individual projects utilizing multiple methodologies (i.e. Waterfall, Agile, etc.)

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in project management, business or related field preferred; demonstrated work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Three years of demonstrated project management experience. Two years of experience leading large teams. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Understanding of project management concepts and methodologies.

Preferred Experience

PMI Certification is preferred. Practical experience in and/or knowledge of health care, managed care, government programs or health plans. Agile SCRUM Master Certification.
