The Digital Content Specialist will play a key role in the creation and management of digital marketing content and initiatives meant to engage and inform our Residential & Commercial Irrigation end user customers and channel partners. The position will lead or assist in the development and deployment of various digital marketing and product training materials, the updating and maintenance of online assets, and handling general digital marketing activities. In support of the Channel Marketing Manager, this position will also help execute strategies and content for social, email and loyalty campaigns, as well as websites. Qualified applicants must be organized and able to work effectively in both a solo environment and as part of the broader team.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the optimization, performance, and customer experience across applicable websites with Marketing Communications team and, as applicable, vendor and agency partners.
Recommend new ideas and innovations to grow and improve site traffic and engagement, driven from research, competitive intelligence and analytics.
Develop and manage digital product training materials, from concept to publishing to evaluation.
Continuously review and communicate critical performance metrics (ROI, CTR, conversion data, traffic, bounce, etc.) and develop strategies for optimizing results.
Assist in the curation of co-branded content and messaging with channel partners to improve brand relevance and customer experience.
Develop and manage digital asset library for use by internal sales resources and channel partners
Work with internal Marketing Communications team and, as necessary, vendor and agency partners to develop and execute content
Assist Marketing Communications with social campaign design and deployment as needed
Support overall marketing initiatives as required
Based in Riverside, CA irrigation division headquarters
Regular cooperation and collaboration with broader Channel Marketing Team, Marketing Communications and Product Management teams, and domestic Sales Team.
Recurring role within cross-functional teams around product launches and product management efforts
Broad retailer interaction to include Landscape Equipment distributors and online partners.
Limited travel requirements (less than 10% after lifting of Covid-19 restrictions)
BA/BS degree in related field required
Minimum of two (2) years of experience of performing in a similar capacity as the job duties listed above required
Digital Marketing Content certification(s) preferred
Previous experience in product-centric/CPG business preferred
Must have good understanding of social media, audience community, web trends, etc.
Must have strong copywriting skills and experience in optimizing for social and digital platforms
Must have knowledge and understanding of building and maintaining strong professional relationships
Must be detail and task-oriented and have the ability to work under strict time constraints
Must be able to resolve conflicts within the scope of responsibility
Must have excellent verbal communication skills and highly developed interpersonal skills
