Summary:

The Project Engineer manages engineering design projects for Venture Products.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate customer and product requirements. Develops project objectives in collaboration with management.

  • Develop and maintains project schedule to achieve project goals and dates.

  • Lead project team and assign personnel to areas of responsibility.

  • Coordinate meetings and communication for the engineering of the project.

  • Create project updates to advise management of project successes, challenges, needs, and schedule.

  • Analyze and resolves technical issues for components and products.

  • Assist with product start-ups. Includes hands-on assembly, establishing QC criteria & assembly procedures, etc.

  • Interface with other departments (Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, Service) to accomplish project goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering (ME, MET, EE, EET preferred) or relevant engineering experience.

  • Project Management skills, including managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.

  • Ability to provide leadership and make decisions.

  • Strong process and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated with excellent project and time management skills.

  • Proven ability to work as part of a team.

  • Strong interpersonal skills – professional, courteous, friendly and helpful.

  • Excellent computer and keyboarding skills (Microsoft Office, Internet).

  • Safety conscious (for the working environment and product design).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Product development or project management experience in the turf, ag, or construction equipment industry.

  • 3D modeling experience (Solid Edge preferred).
