A role in Property Management means the opportunity to maximize the performance and longevity of Target's assets while delivering value, reliability and brand integrity. The Sr. Manager, Property Management, will be leading a high-performing, diverse, and engaged team responsible for Energy Operations activities. This role will lead Energy Procurement strategy and execution, the Utility bill pay process, and associated operational processes related to onsite availability of electricity, natural gas, and water. Provides direction on efforts related to energy benchmarking, energy audits, and Field concerns associated with Utility availability. Provides oversight, guidance and is responsible for the team delivering Capital and Expense budget, forecast, long range plan, and financial support for Energy related projects. Manages Energy analytics and reporting processes and responsibilities related to Target's Water program and all engagements and aspects of our Regulated Utility relationships. This Sr. Manager position is an active collaborator, advocate for the team, and negotiator, working with other leaders across Property Management, Target Properties, and other pyramids including Finance, Store Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain. Additionally, this role builds key external relationships with Utility partners and Energy vendors.

About You:
  • Bachelors Degree, BA/BS (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 7 years overall business experience with a preference for Energy/Sustainability experience
  • Experience with leading and coaching others
  • Cross-functional team leadership experience
  • Ability to manage projects, set timeliness and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical, financial, reasoning, and organizational skills
  • Effectiveness developing strong relationships with inter-company teams and senior management
  • Ability to negotiate in tough situations with both internal and external groups
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to maximize relationships - team player/inspires others/takes partners across all levels of the organization and with outside vendors
  • Practical approach to problem solving - ability to identify the need for change and lead through it
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
