Job Description Job Summary:
As a member of the Communications & Engagement team within Human Resources, this role is responsible for writing and editing content for internal communications that supports our strategic business goals, purpose, vision, values and overall team member engagement efforts including education and retention. Additionally, this role will create messages and campaigns that support benefits & total rewards, learning & development and culture. This role will research, write and edit content for a variety of formats including email, internal social media, scripts, presentations and more. This role will also support the development, creation and execution of internal communications plans. This position will interface with and support all levels of the organization.   Job Duties:
  • Writes and edits content for a wide variety of communication channels (print, web, email, video, etc.) and ensures correct spelling, punctuation, grammar and style standards are followed.
  • Supports the development, creation and execution of internal communications plans.
  • Contributes to internal communications calendar, ensuring scheduled tasks and projects are successfully completed and strategically timed.
  • Manages internal communications request intake and follow-up process while closely partnering with Communications & Engagement leader on prioritization.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to ensure our brand voice is consistent throughout all content.
  • Works with key stakeholders to develop, design and proof content such as announcements, messages, internal news updates.
  • Contributes to Team Member engagement strategy and appreciation, recognition and rewards activities as needed.
Days Monday - Friday Hiring Rate or Hiring Range 1. Based on Qualifications Requirements Job Requirements:
Reflects MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE required in order to meet the expectations of this job:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
    3-5 years of experience in a communications role, ideally in a hospitality or non-desk worker environment.
  • Strong writing skills, including the ability to write in different styles to reflect the nature of the stakeholder, audience, and message.
  • Understands when to use the art of storytelling in content creation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of working effectively and forming peer-level relationships with management-level and above.
  • Two years of experience working directly with subject matter experts and business unit leaders.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Suite.
  • Demonstrated organizational, critical thinking, problem solving and process analysis skills.
  • Able to work well under tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
