Description:
About Us:

Target is an iconic brand, a Fortune 50 company and one of America's leading retailers.

Target Global Supply Chain and Logistics is evolving at an incredible pace. We are constantly reimagining how we get the right product to the right guest even better, faster, and more cost-effectively than before. We are becoming more intelligent, automated, and algorithmic in our decision-making, so that no matter how guests shop-in stores or on Target.com-we deliver the convenience and immediate gratification they demand and deserve. We are on a mission to win decisively over any competitor, with a seamless and superior guest service experience unlike any they can offer. Our teams work with the agility our mission requires, and we constantly come together to implement new processes in record time. Therefore, we are looking for exceptional people who are proactive, creative, independent, innovative, risk-savvy, and comfortable working in varying degrees of ambiguity. Are you a critical thinker who seeks the root cause and can analyze both qualitatively and quantitatively? Are you a creative problem-solver who simplifies problems, quickly identifies solutions, commits to a plan, and then positively influences others to execute it? If so, you will have success on one of our dynamic teams.

About this opportunity:

As a Lead Analyst, Digital Demand Planning on the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Team you will partner with Digital Finance, Merch Finance, Supply Chain Finance, PPCOE and Planning to consume sales inputs and translate that guidance into fulfillment channel volume plans that support operational planning across Stores and GSCL. These plans will drive Store, Fulfillment Center and Mixing Center labor decisions on a weekly basis as well as package planning efforts with the Last Mile team. You will also be responsible for driving and governing quarterly volume planning processes, pressure testing daily and weekly inputs to ensure accuracy to support labor and capacity planning during peak season(s) or key promotional events. Through all of this work, you seek to identify pinch points between fulfillment capabilities and sales plans to work to drive solutions with Merch, Finance and GSCL partners that support Target's sales and financial goals.

Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience in an analytical field (ex. Mathematics, Finance, Engineering)
  • 5+ years of work experience in finance, planning, supply chain management or similar fields
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and build strong, cross-function relationships
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity and leading peers
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skill set. A passion for empirical research and for answering hard questions with data and analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including a demonstrated ability to distill information into actionable, persuasive insights and present to varying levels of leadership
  • Experience translating data from an array of sources into insights/go-forward recommendations
