Target Enterprise, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Engineering Manager at our offices in Brooklyn Park, MN. The Senior Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading a cross-functional, global engineering team in an agile environment building software solutions. This position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field. 8 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) software development experience building high performance and scalable applications. Must also have 24 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following: (1) provide technical expertise throughout the product life cycle including design, implementation and delivery of scalable applications and infrastructure, driving best practices and ensuring development of high-quality code for common assets and framework components; (2) advocate for technologies, frameworks, design patterns, processes and guiding values of the domain architecture, architect and design solutions to build performant and scalable applications and measure and improve the reliability and availability of product; (3) collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders across teams and functions on a regular basis, defining and communicating the product roadmap and team strategy, ensure team contributions align with company objectives and set product release schedules balancing features and operational maturity; (4) build, lead and develop a team of global software engineers through recruitment, mentoring/coaching, goal and development plans and managing team through agile methodologies including sprint planning and code reviews; (5) drive resolution of technology roadblocks including code, infrastructure, build, deployment and security; and (6) utilizing the following tools and technologies: Java, JVM based framework and languages, database technologies, and scripting languages including Shell, Python. Up to 10% of domestic and international travel required. This position will supervise approximately 10 subordinates, including Lead Engineers, Sr. Engineers, Engineers, and Scrum Masters.
