The primary responsibility of the Competitive Price Analyst is the development, support, and analysis associated with Pricing processes and tools. This employee works closely with members of Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Purchasing, and Dealership personnel to improve pricing processes and gain insights that drive improved profitability and market penetration. The ideal candidate will have analytical skills, be detail-oriented, exhibit creativity, have the ability to work independently, and demonstrate good organizational skills.
Manage the day-to-day development and support of pricing systems.
Drive toward strategic pricing objectives, identify upside opportunities, analyze significant pricing moves, and work with others to optimize key market pricing decisions.
Pricing of goods and services.
Research and in-depth pricing analysis of industry competitors, influencers, market trends, and drivers. Analyze the volume/price relationship between brands and their competitors. Proactively identify opportunities or challenges to improve profit via adjustment in brand mix, net pricing and advertising investment.
Maintains historical pricing data on the organization and its competitors.
Creation of straightforward solutions to solve complex problems.
Collaborate with various department employees to develop new processes, tools, and training to help improve the company’s position in the Pricing Analytics area. This includes, but is not limited to Pricing, Programming, and Competitive Intelligence.
Collaborate with Sales to develop programs to achieve a stated goal, administer the programs, monitor performance against the goals, and communicate the results to management.
Office environment, with occasional trips to the plant
Regular, continuous use of a personal computer.
Onsite in Perry, OK with flexibility to work remotely on occasion
Occasional filing and sorting of files requiring the ability to lift up to 10 pounds repetitiously
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business preferred.
At least 2 to 4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
High competence in Excel and Word.
Understanding of the pricing process and analytical approaches.
Possess the ability to translate business questions into the appropriate analysis and deliver insights from this analysis.
Ability to manage, analyze, and process large amounts of data to arrive at required outputs.
Proven ability to communicate information and ideas to others in an understandable manner. Ability to be straight forward and candid, while setting a professional standard for treating others with dignity and respect.
