This position is responsible for supporting the Purchasing Supply Chain group with day-to-day management of governmental compliance and customs compliance activity. This position will be broadly engaged with multiple internal groups as well as external groups such as US Customs & various global regulatory agencies.
Manage and coordinate various compliance requests to vendors.
Responsible for entering compliance information into various compliance databases.
Manage USMCA and Manufacturer’s affidavits.
Represent Venture Products in various weekly and monthly compliance meetings.
Act as a liaison between Ventrac and outside agencies, including customs, freight companies, and various regulatory agencies.
Review bill of materials on current and new products and ensure due diligence of compliance.
Audit current vendors for accurate supply chain diversity reporting and report quarterly findings.
Create and report key performance indicators on a monthly basis of regulatory compliance reporting.
Proactively manage & resolve any regulatory or customs related challenges as necessary.
Willingness to pursue additional education, obtain certifications, & attend training seminars as necessary to stay aligned on changing & evolving Customs requirements; communicate learnings internally and implement changes as needed.
Ability to work closely within the Purchasing department on a daily basis, including general purchasing tasks as time permits.
High School Diploma required
Experience in international transportation, importing, & exporting preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills and teamwork skills
Strong analytical skills
Strong computer skills such as Excel & PowerPoint
Proven organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Proven customer service skills for internal and external customers
Self-motivated with excellent project and time management skills
Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Experience with NAFTA, USMCA or REACH compliance.
Experience working with Customs Brokers preferred.
3-5 years of overall supply chain experience preferred
