This position is responsible for supporting the Purchasing Supply Chain group with day-to-day management of governmental compliance and customs compliance activity. This position will be broadly engaged with multiple internal groups as well as external groups such as US Customs & various global regulatory agencies.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate various compliance requests to vendors.

  • Responsible for entering compliance information into various compliance databases.

  • Manage USMCA and Manufacturer’s affidavits.

  • Represent Venture Products in various weekly and monthly compliance meetings.

  • Act as a liaison between Ventrac and outside agencies, including customs, freight companies, and various regulatory agencies.

  • Review bill of materials on current and new products and ensure due diligence of compliance.

  • Audit current vendors for accurate supply chain diversity reporting and report quarterly findings.

  • Create and report key performance indicators on a monthly basis of regulatory compliance reporting.

  • Proactively manage & resolve any regulatory or customs related challenges as necessary.

  • Willingness to pursue additional education, obtain certifications, & attend training seminars as necessary to stay aligned on changing & evolving Customs requirements; communicate learnings internally and implement changes as needed.

  • Ability to work closely within the Purchasing department on a daily basis, including general purchasing tasks as time permits.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required

  • Experience in international transportation, importing, & exporting preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and teamwork skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Detail Oriented

  • Strong computer skills such as Excel & PowerPoint

  • Proven organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Proven customer service skills for internal and external customers

  • Self-motivated with excellent project and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred

  • Experience with NAFTA, USMCA or REACH compliance.

  • Experience working with Customs Brokers preferred.

  • 3-5 years of overall supply chain experience preferred
