As a Senior Communications Technical Producer at Target, you will have the opportunity to shape and execute the technical direction for 50+ virtual, hybrid and in-person (in the future) experiences, events and content throughout the year. Our events and experiences reach hundreds of thousands of team members and leaders throughout the year. The Technical Producer will provide the technical vision and direction for audio, lighting and visual production for virtual and in-person enterprise meetings, events, experiences and content.

Responsibilities include:
  • Technical direction: You'll be responsible for developing and executing the conceptual and/or stylistic direction for enterprise events and experiences in partnership with Communications team producers, including:
    • Leading pre-production and production, coordinating between Communications' creative and design teams, Producers and Target Technology Services
    • Managing the technical and creative vision and execution of the audio and visual production process related to enterprise meetings and experiences
    • Ensuring the technical experience feels easy and elevated for the audience
  • Production and Post-Production:
    • Leading and managing technical production for enterprise events and experiences as well as leadership meetings, in partnership with Target Technology Services and/or vendor/agency production support
    • Designing, setting up and operating sound and lighting equipment and/or managing vendors/agencies for meetings and events
    • Designing and creating sets for events with agency support
    • Managing recording, editing and file uploads from meetings
  • Operational support:
    • Researching and recommending use of new technologies to improve internal engagements and experiences
    • Providing accurate equipment costs and setup time estimates, managing equipment rental when needed
    • Vetting and managing any production partners, agencies or vendors
    • Leading future of work hybrid experiences recommendations, focused on technology and production considerations
    • Working closely with the Associated Producer and Senior Producer to oversee the completion of projects and ensure that all technical needs are met

About you:
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent, with emphasis in creative production or multi-media
  • At least five years of related technical production experience for virtual and in-person events in a corporate or agency setting
  • Creative thinker, leading with technical skills
  • Skilled with CAD, video editing skills, Zoom, Microsoft 365 programs like Stream
  • Fluent in audio, lighting, production technology for digital and live events
  • Experience producing large meetings and events for a variety of audiences, including senior level executives
  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills
  • Eye for design and creating on-brand experiences for a variety of audiences
  • Highly organized
  • Executes with excellence largely via self-direction, building and managing timelines, initiating and meeting deadlines, action oriented
  • Experience engaging with vendors and agencies to manage execution and budgets
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple peers and stakeholders, developing strong working relationships within a large, matrixed organization
  • Keeps cool under pressure, problem solver
  • Experience managing and navigating union crews
