The Strategic Planning Manager will oversee and drive the strategic planning processes and continued progress towards strategic business results for the Ditch Witch Division (DWD). This manager’s responsibilities include facilitating planning processes that leads the company to establish direction, identify the most critical business issues, strategic priorities and results in a clear framework to support decision making for both long-range and short-range needs. The manager will partner with the DWD leadership team and key departments to ensure that opportunities, threats, and emerging trends are addressed in the planning process as well as monitored throughout the year.


  • Leads annual planning process to drive the direction for the Ditch Witch Division
  • Drives collaboration efforts needed for long range, annual planning, collection of business data, ensuring clarity around business strategies, opportunities and needs
  • Develops clear and effective meeting materials, presentations, project collateral, findings, projections, and recommended actions as needed
  • Identifies and highlights business impacts associated with planning, programs, markets, government regulations/bills, and risk to serve as input to DWD Leadership
  • Drives the organization to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) needed to measure the business objectives
  • Oversees monthly KPI’s that illustrate progress towards the annual and long-range plan
  • Develops recommendations on key actions and focus areas for DWD Leadership team based on progress against annual plans
  • Serves as strategic partner for business that can work independently as well as engage internal and external leaders to help drive multiple projects of moderate to high complexity at a time
  • Collaborates with the business teams to help recognize strategic goals and processes that align with our corporate objectives
  • Serves as a strategic lead on other key business projects as requested

  • Bachelor’s degree prefer in Business, Marketing, Finance or related fields
  • Requires minimum of 4 years in a similar individual contributor role
  • 3+ years’ experience in the Underground Pipeline and Utility products/industry knowledge preferred
  • Experience leading business strategies within an organization
  • Ability to create and deliver business plans, complex ideas into visuals that illustrate direction and requirements
  • Strong organizational and planning skills that can help with clear communications
  • Strong business leader that can help shape the strategy and business direction
