This position provides survey project management expertise to complex and/or large-scale projects, with responsibility for maintaining client relationships and delivering the project according to contract
specifications. This position reports into a Director of Project Management.
Essential Position Responsibilities:Organize, schedule, monitor and complete project activities.Monitor project compliance with contract specifications, document revisions or changes in
scope of project, prepare billing summaries, and estimate costs of ongoing or anticipated projects.Provide information to operations departments regarding job specifications, timelines, and client requested changes to current projects.Work with functional areas to design data collection processes.Develop, update, and maintain project materials such as manuals, publication, meeting agendas, timelines, and project documentation.Work with team members to coordinate activities, obtain and/or provide information, determine task assignments, and set priorities.Maintain contact with existing clients to determine the level of satisfaction with contract
performance and to provide timely and accurate progress reports.Initiate discussions with existing clients to identify possible additional business opportunities.Manage project workload, timeline, budget, and deliverables list to ensure client satisfaction and contract compliance.Provide direction, training, coaching, and mentoring to project management staff as needed.Lead process design and improvement efforts including problem analysis and solution for project specific and division-wide initiatives.Assist in project proposal development.Forecast revenues and budgets for existing and anticipated clients.Monitor project profit margins.Manage actual hours against estimates provided by all functional areas.
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Research Methodology or a related fieldSeven or more years of project management-level experience in survey research or a related fieldFive or more years of experience working with complex large-scale survey projects in positions of increasing responsibilityExperience initiating and implementing projects from design through implementation to reporting of results
