As a Product Investigations & Removal Associate Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the execution of processes and system controls to stop sale of products, including Recalls, across all retail channels and supply chain. You will collect and analyze reporting to validate process execution, escalate reporting concerns, and collaborate with stores and distribution centers to resolve product removal inquiries. As a PIR Associate Analyst, you will assist PIR Managers with assessing guest incidents for specific Target Brand and National Brand product categories. This role helps ensure Target's compliance to regulatory requirements and brings visibility to potential product safety issues to minimize impact to our Guests. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Execute process requirements and system controls to ensure a stop sale of products, including initiating Point-of-Sale restrictions, product returns disposition, order suppressions, and removal from Target.com website
  • Issue communications to stores and distribution centers, ensuring all required details are provided for proper execution and product disposition
  • Assess and collaboratively resolve supply chain product removal inquiries, escalating concerns when needed
  • Leverage available reporting to document and analyze execution of product removals and identify locations requiring additional follow up
  • Partner with Waste Minimization Team to determine physical inventory disposition, such as environmental handling, recycling, or destruction
  • Maintain and update product case files per regulatory and internal requirements
  • Perform periodic Target Brands updates on the CPSC's Saferproduct.gov website
  • Issue cross functional Sr. Leadership product removal communication
  • Provide support to PIR Managers by researching, analyzing, and summarizing insights of guest incidents across product collections and assigned categories
  • Engage in process improvement activities, training content development and process documentation
  • Develop and/or maintain departmental metrics and reporting
  • Provide coverage support to Product Investigations and Removal team members

Desired Requirements
  • Experience in Product Safety, Product Compliance or Risk Management
  • Experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Management
  • Knowledge of Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regulatory requirements, or other federal government agencies and regulations
