Position Description

This position is responsible to provide editorial coordination and consultation for State Public Programs (SPP), UCare Connect, UCare Connect + Medicare, and UCare's MSHO marketing communications. This includes the writing, development, and implementation of communication materials to support organizational goals and objectives. Collaborate with members of the Sales, Product, Quality, Clinical, Pharmacy, and Health Promotion teams to coordinate efforts on a wide variety of member materials for the SPP audience.

• Coordinate the writing, development, health literacy, and production of marketing and member materials, emails and website pages, related to UCare's State Public Programs, UCare Connect, and UCare's MSHO, including county efforts, open enrollment materials, member retention outreach, and annual mailing communications.

• Assist in developing marketing and communication strategies in conjunction with Content Strategist, Marketing Manager and business partners in Sales and Product Management.

• Produce content, in coordination with the Content Strategist, for ucare.org pages related to SPP prospect and retention efforts. Includes working integrated with digital team supporting ucare.org.

• Post monthly online pharmacy document updates.

• Serve as an editorial resource and health literacy consultant to other departments on communication projects, and work in a cross-functional or collaborative function with other areas of the organization and within the team.

• Adhere to the required member material process mapping system, and fulfill business owner and marketing communications roles as outlined in the process.

• Collaborate with Communications team members to flex workload as needed.

• Partner with Government Relations teams on development of, and review process, for required materials.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.


Bachelor's or advanced degree in communications-related field required.

Required Experience

Five years of corporate or non-profit marketing communications experience required. Three years of project management experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word required.

Preferred Experience

Health care communications and website copywriting experience preferred. Experience working in a government-regulated industry a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel desired.
