JOB POSITION: Senior Engineer

LOCATION: 7000 Target Parkway North, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445

DUTIES: Design and develop software applications and apply appropriate software engineering patterns to build robust and scalable systems; customize and implement new features in the Target Payment Platform to process payments made by retail guests in store; create data pipeline between various Target systems to exchange data to process guest payments securely; work with various teams in Target to facilitate and provide various secure payment options to Target's retail guests in store to utilize the different payment cards/options; participate in solution architecture, design review meetings and provide technical recommendations to deliver best customer experience; design and develop Micro-Services and REST APIs using Spring Boot, Elastic Search, and Postgres DBs for data persistence; create custom metrics to collect observable data to mitigate the risks and take necessary actions on time; lead and mentor developers in achieving project timelines, helping team to produce quality code based on standards, providing technical solutions to critical issues; and be responsible for team member code reviews, deliverables, and release of the project. REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related field and at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in software design/development (any title) providing architectural standards, including at least two (2) years of experience in database development/scripting, API development, Dockerization, Shell scripting, and using Node JS, ReactJS, Jenkins, Micro Services, Maven, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Flyway, Tomcat, VSCode, SQL Developer, GitHub, Postman, Docker, JIRA, Confluence, and Mongo DB.
