About You:

As a Sr. Engineer on the Engineering Insights team, you will have the opportunity to influence a product from the start. The team's goal is to identify, collect, clean, and present data about engineering practices to the rest of Target engineering. This information will enable teams to make data driven decisions regarding team process and behaviors. The product is in the early stages of development and we are looking for someone who has a passion for solving interesting problems, loves brainstorming different solutions with the team, works well in an environment where goals are understood but how to achieve them is ambiguous, enjoys suggesting solutions and trying them out iteratively, and can start with loose guidelines and drive a product to delivery.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong development skills in Java
• Database design, management, and access experience
• Desire to automate everything!

Preferred / Relevant Experience:

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience
• Development skills in Python
• Micronaut or Spring Boot framework experience
• Rest Api design
• Kafka or other event streaming service experience
• Experience with writing software tests and using test frameworks
• CI/CD Experience using Vela, Drone, Jenkins or another platform
• Leverages DevOps practices to develop innovative automation solutions
• Growth Mindset and a continual learner
• Data Science background
• Machine Learning
