About the job:

As a Senior UX Manager on the Relationship & Reward team, you'll be responsible for the creation of strategic design deliverables as well as the performance and development of a team of product designers whose work spans Target.com and the Target apps. The Relationship & Reward team is located at the heart of Target's thriving digital loyalty and guest relationship business, where you and your team will be well positioned to make an impact in products with a focus on Loyalty & Membership, Baby Registry, Spanish Language translations, and Personalized experiences.

You will lead by doing in order to provide work direction and guidance ensuring that the team is continually experimenting, through product discovery, with both next-generation ideas and optimizations in support of Target's business strategies. You'll work cross-functionally with Product Directors and Engineering Managers to establish priorities and the creation of design deliverables that provide product vision and strategic direction. You'll influence the business and technology strategy and experience creation by representing the voice of the guest and Team Member, and by providing insights regarding best practices and current industry standards in digital strategy and experience planning.

You'll constructively challenge current thinking across the enterprise, pushing boundaries and driving change that will deliver exceptional user-centric experiences. You'll surface risks and interdependencies, projects and systems, and work with partners to identify and implement plausible solutions or contingency plans. You'll push work forward with high standards and an approach that follows the voice of the guest. You're a storyteller by nature, and you thrive on building relationships. You're a proactive agent of change with a bias toward action.

You'll recruit, hire and mentor world-class UX and product design talent. You'll prioritize the work your team is involved in, placing team members on high priority initiatives that complement their skills, career ambitions and growth opportunities. You'll continually coach UX team members on tactical design skills, softs skills and growth within their careers.

About you:
  • A passion for creating equitable, inclusive digital experiences
  • 7+ years' experience in digital software product work, with user experience emphases in research, UX architecture, interaction design and/or visual design
  • Must provide examples of successful UX team leadership and mentoring
  • Expert skills in wireframing, visual design, prototyping, and facilitation techniques
  • Expert skills in modern design and prototyping tools (such as Figma, Sketch, and InVision)
  • Experience in both in-person and remote UX research methodologies and ability to conduct or partner with research expert
  • Proven ability to successfully lead large-scale projects and initiatives involving multiple cross-functional teams
  • Must be an exceptional collaborator and problem-solver
  • Must be able to work well in a matrixed environment
  • Must be able to present well and articulate or defend design decisions


Bonus: Fluency in the Mexican dialect of Spanish as well as English

This position may be considered for a Full-Time Remote or Hybrid work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid work arrangement means the team members core role will be a blend of virtual and onsite at a Target location. A Full-Time Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at their primary HQ work location and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada residents is ($97,600) to ($175,700). Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Target cares about and invests in you as a team member, so that you can take care of yourself and your family.
