Equipment Technician I - Day Shift - HammerHead
The Equipment Technician I position is hands-on and task-driven, requiring a focus on safety and efficiency. An employee in this position will work closely with the Inventory Control Manager to accomplish daily tasks. This employee must have strong organizational skills in order to maintain a clean and orderly work area and closely follow refurbishment standards.
Assemble/refurbish equipment to engineered specifications documented in assembly drawings.
Complete oil changes, filter changes, and equipment servicing at specified intervals.
Wash and detail rental equipment between rentals.
Maintain areas of work to 5S standards.
Troubleshoot and diagnose any issues that arise with equipment to choose best repair method.
Paint equipment using sprayer, when called for by assembly drawings/engineering specifications.
Pick and package equipment for storage and/or shipment.
Load and unload flatbeds, sprinter vans, hot shots, and cube trucks.
Plant environment with outside loading and unloading of trucks.
Rapidly changing demands, schedules, and deadlines.
Majority of the day on your feet.
Work with hazardous materials (e.g., fuels, lubricants, drilling fluids, and batteries) while wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
8am – 5pm working hours, Monday – Friday.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred 2+ years of experience as a mechanic.
Working knowledge of measurement equipment, including: calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, tape measures, etc.
Ability to be certified to operate a forklift.
