JOB POSITION: Senior Data Scientist

LOCATION: 1000 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403

DUTIES: Apply mathematical concepts to data and business questions to generate insight and action by formulating statistical, machine learning, or mathematical solutions; advance the data, metrics, and analysis into statistically-driven applications; consult with business teams to scope data science problems and enable adoption and framing business problems in precise mathematical terms with testable hypotheses; deploy machine learning algorithms like regression, classification, clustering, and optimization solutions using big data environment; utilize ability to write modular code and data pipelines which can be automated and scaled; and document model selection criteria and how to interpret the model output for other stakeholders. Tools and skills used: data wrangling and pipelining, Hive, R, Python, Adobe Analytics, SQL, Excel, Scala, Java, IRI, DOMO, and Greenfield.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a closely related field and at least three (3) years of experience with data pipelines, database management, and data visualization (any title) applying data mining techniques and machine learning algorithms and using Python, R, Hive, Adobe Analytics, Java, IRI, and SQL. In the alternative, the employer would accept a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a closely related field and at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience with data pipelines, database management, and data visualization (any title) applying data mining techniques and machine learning algorithms and using Python, R, Hive, Adobe Analytics, Java, IRI, and SQL.
