SUMMARY

As a Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and buying of goods, materials and services to meet the Company‚Äôs operational requirements. The successful candidate will take into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage daily purchasing of materials using ERP system
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
  • Assess, manage and mitigate risks
  • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
  • Manage, coach and develop high performing purchasing personnel
  • Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for material, supplies and equipment
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice procurement vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven working experience as purchasing manager, agent or officer
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
  • Experience with ERP, MIN/MAX and Kanban systems
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with purchasing from foreign suppliers
  • A knack for negotiation and networking
  • Working experience of vendor management software
  • Ability to gather and analyses data and to work with figures
  • Solid judgement along with decision making skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Experience in logistics for incoming material both domestic and international
  • BS degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
