JOB POSITION: Senior Engineer

LOCATION: 1000 Nicollet Mall, Minneapolis, MN 55403

DUTIES: Develop application architecture and distill abstract architecture into software design using a thorough understanding of implementation issues and core development platforms; engage in all phases of software development including gathering requirements, creating specifications, development of database objects, development of code and validating programs; serve as an subject-matter expert in identifying appropriate software engineering patterns to build robust and scalable systems for HR processes; architect and build products using Workday to automate HR processes in Compensation and Talent Management; as part of scrum team prototype, design, build, and support features in Workday; design and develop custom integration using Workday Studio for Compensation and Talent Management; build integrations using EIB, Web Services SOAP, REST API, WSDL, XML, and XSLT Document Transformation and apply necessary security for related functional area; design and develop BIRT forms for Compensation and Talent processes; design and build custom applications for CORE HR Processes using Workday Extend, Java and Groovy; Support Compensation Application and year-end compensation processes; support talent application and processes; design and Develop Workday custom reports and calculated fields; handle cross-functional discussions for end -to-end scenarios testing; and manage and recommend the activities to be done or taken care as part of Workday half yearly release. Tools/technologies used: Workday Studio, Workday Extend, Workday Integration, Workday HCM, Workday Payroll, Workday Compensation, CORE HCM, EIB, Web Services SOAP, REST API, WSDL, XML, Java, Prism, BIRT, agile methodology, and XSLT Document Transformation. Position includes a telecommute benefit within commuting distance to Minneapolis-area Target office, as directed.

REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in design and development of applications in Workday (any title) performing analysis, implementation, support, and enhancement, and using Workday Studio, Workday Integration, Workday HCM, Workday Extend, Workday Payroll, Workday Compensation, CORE HCM, BIRT, Java, Prism, and agile methodology. Position includes a telecommute benefit within commuting distance to Minneapolis-area Target office, as directed.
