Scott County Public Health Supervisor
In this position, you’ll perform professional and administrative duties in the development and implementation of the public health activities in the County. Evaluates public health needs and supervises Public Health Nurses (PHNs), Registered Nurses (RNs), and other staff in providing these services.
A Public Health Supervisor also oversees multiple programs and grant activities including but not limited to Family Home Visiting, Statewide Health Improvement Partnership, Child and Teen Checkup and Women's Infants and Children (WIC), and participates with the Public Health Director in planning, implementing and evaluating community health services.
Considerable emphasis is given to promotion of an effective program of public health among interested and affected individuals and groups. Work is performed in an office, institutional, or home setting.
- M.P.H. or M.A./M.S. in Nursing or related and two years of experience administering, supervising, or overseeing public health services OR a bachelor's degree in Nursing and 6 years of experience.
- Possession of a license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota
- Certification as a Public Health Nurse in the State of Minnesota
- CPR certification
Leadership training, Omaha System training, electronic medical documentation training, basic computer skills training, performance management, quality improvement, population-based planning and health interventions, group facility skills, research evaluation methods, and Public Health supervisory experience are highly desired. The incumbent must have a valid driver's license and shall provide a reliable means of transportation for the performance of work responsibilities.
Hiring Range: $79,634 to $109,498- DOQ.
