A role in Enterprise Risk Management means you will help protect Target by identifying, assessing and managing a portfolio of top strategic, financial, operational, compliance, reputational and event based risks the company faces. You will also play a key role in facilitating the company's holistic Enterprise Risk Management program, strengthening the company's risk acumen and providing strategic direction to company leaders on the most important risks.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Lead Risk Consultant role is a strong individual contributor responsible for managing programmatic application and content development for high visibility enterprise risks. This includes performing risk assessments, conducting internal and external research on root causes, and providing ongoing risk monitoring and reporting. The role will engage a wide range of internal leaders (Officer+), cross-functional partners, and subject matter experts across the company. The role will be critical to facilitating the continuous improvement of Target's Enterprise Risk Management program, managing key strategic partnerships, and supporting risk-based planning and decision support.

  • Experience building strategy and strategic priorities to mitigate risk, working across diverse capabilities, and ensuring alignment with key enterprise planning functions (insights, strategy, and finance)
  • Clear communicator with proven ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, and experience presenting to senior level leaders and groups
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to leverage internal and external data, and provide unbiased, fact-based insights to drive needed change
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and identify key risk factors that may impact the enterprise
  • Effective at building and mainaining strong partnerships at all levels
  • Ability to work across business functions to remove obstacles and break down silos to support risk management
  • Effective at drawing out multiple perspectives, offering dissenting points of view, and navigating diverse perspectives
  • Strong drive for results with the ability to handle multiple issues at once and prioritize urgent versus important
  • Naturally curious continuous learner with a client service focused attitude

About you:
  • 5-7 years of experience in risk management, strategic consulting, intelligence or insights, with a proven track record of using data to drive decision making
  • BS/BA in a business related field, Master's degree or equivalent preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products and remote workplace technology (Zoom)
