Sales & Marketing Information Manager
The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and manage business intelligence tools and systems that help provide a better understanding of business performance, programming needs and decision-making. This role serves as the primary process owner for key sales and marketing programs and as the leading analyst for market activity and channel performance. The position is also responsible for customer CRM strategy in support of key business priorities and managing CRM tools such as Salesforce.
The Golf Irrigation Sales & Marketing Information Manager will also represents Golf Irrigation on cross-enterprise projects related to data-sharing, integration and common business systems.
Job duties & Responsibilities:
Information Management and Analysis
Develop and deliver necessary reporting and data-sharing tools to effectively convey business performance
Oversee utilization of Salesforce and ensure its capabilities to support key business objectives
Drive information- and analytics-related strategy in support of LRP and Annual Plan
Manage golf market support program and work with Programs Admin to improve tracking and forecasting
Work with Marketing Manager to execute sales and marketing programs with specific focus on process and metrics
Implement and manage pricing approval and deviation process
Serve as key driver of collaboration and information-sharing with NSN, Commercial, Corporate Accounts, Distributor Development, and other enterprise interest groups to drive improved business results
Maintain key data and files in support of Golf Irrigation business (e.g., pricing, GMS forms, channel contacts, etc.)
System Management and Technical Lead
Act as division lead with Information Services to drive system performance, upgrades and enhancements.
Business intelligence and analytics
Lead division efforts to provide descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics needs
Lead division efforts to implement data dashboard applications and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Qlikview, MSBI, Connectivity, etc.) and serve as power user
Support cross-divisional analysis and reporting
Serve as divisional system expert and cascade knowledge and training as warranted
Harvest and analyze S&I data and reporting process for Golf Irrigation
Team with I.S. and distribution to ensure data is being transmitted, is accurate and flows to the relevant reporting systems.
Data Driven Direction
Drive development of a process to better track distributor installed base
Build business model to assess customer purchase activity and predict new opportunities
Ensure data is captured and accessible within CRM tools
Interpret business needs into functional requirements and develop useful enhancements to the Salesforce system
Maintain CRM platform to ensure content remains accurate via standard processes and procedures
Collaborate with sales managers to streamline data capturing processes and incorporate into CRM where appropriate
Work cross functionally to ensure the CRM system design is robust and capable of interfacing with corporate information systems, departmental databases, third party lead management and mapping programs
Represent Golf Irrigation Sales and Marketing on the CRM Governance Team
Ensure user compliance with current department requirements as it relates to the use of Salesforce.com, identify knowledge gaps, create action plans and implement training as identified to motivate sales team to engage Salesforce.com as a benefit tool for their business
Education: Bachelor of Arts/Science degree from an accredited college or university required. Business or Marketing preferred. MBA helpful but not required. Requires a strong sales and business background, excellent analytical skills, with experience and knowledge of technology tools, particularly Salesforce.
Experience: 8+ years sales analysis/forecasting and/or marketing experience required – durable goods experience preferred. Work closely with Director, Sales & Marketing, Marketing Manager, National Sales Manager, Golf Sales Managers, Product Managers and Distribution
Computer Skills: High proficiency with key corporate information systems (e.g., SAP, Qlikview, MSBI, Access, Excel, HTML coding). Ability to solve complex problems with innovative solutions. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. May lead functional teams or projects.
Reasoning Skills: Build and maintain strong relationships with Corporate Accounts, Commercial Sales and Marketing, Programs Administration, Finance and other related enterprise entities
