Property Accounting is responsible for the accounting for leases, common area maintenance (CAM), fixed assets and capital projects. In this unique Sr. Accountant role, you will oversee and support a variety of initiatives across the Property Accounting teams. You will report to the Sr. Manager Fixed Assets Accounting, but will actively engage with leaders across the team. You will support key strategic initiatives including, but not limited to, our significant investment in the supply chain space and an important tax strategy implementation that impacts project accounting (pilot/cutover/ongoing maintenance support). You will support cross-team initiatives and projects related to automation and controls, including the coordination of SOX control testing across the teams. As needed, you will support other Sr. Accountant turnover on the team and approver responsibilities for the lease accounting Sr. Manager. You will work on special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed. You will develop strong relationships inside and outside of Property Accounting in order to influence partners and provide client support to teams across the company. You will drive innovation, improve complex processes, and maintain a strong internal control environment. Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.

About you:
  • Four-year degree in Accounting (or equivalent) and 3-6 years of related experience
  • Strong accountant with knowledge of GAAP (specific lease accounting and/or property accounting knowledge desired)
  • Data analysis and modeling experience with tools like Excel to identify trends
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of initiative
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, organization and analytical skills
  • Strong business partner, able to collaborate with teams across the organization
  • Desired requirement: Experience with SAP-REFX and related reporting tools (BeX, BW)
