Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Create and process engineering change requests utilizing engineering sketches and annotated drawings. Electrical Drafters create/layout basic electrical wire harness routing in a 3D environment.
Specify and document dimensions, materials, and procedures.
Model 3D parts, weldments and assemblies and create detail drawings for manufacturing. Electrical Drafters document connectors by modeling 3D models, adding coordinate systems, and creating 2D flattened wire harness drawings for manufacturing.
Process engineering change material requests (ECM’s) and work orders with small sub-assemblies and weldments
Create SAP part information and Bill of Material reports.
Provide assembly layout assistance to design teams. Tasks may include: creating assemblies, weldments, and KMATs from existing BOMs, designing and modeling simple parts, creating ECM’s and work orders, creating drawings for weldments and final assemblies, and maintaining KMAT BOMs. Electrical Drafters create electronic component drawings and full Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layouts.
Participate in quality initiatives and training as required.
Other related duties as required.
Associate degree in Mechanical or Electrical Drafting, Drafting Design, Electronics and Electrical Technology or high school graduate or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s Degree with engineering technology related disciplines preferred.
Two (2) plus years of experience with associate’s otherwise four (4) plus years related experience.
Understand the application of basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience with CAD software
Demonstrated ability to independently accomplish the duties and responsibilities listed above.
Other Job-Related Components:
Working knowledge and understanding of industry drafting standards (ANSI)
Responsible for adhering to Toro Drafting Standards and Procedures
Ability to technically communicate with Designers and Engineers.
