MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS LEAD - INDIVIDUAL & FAMILY PLANS (IFP)

Position Description

This position is responsible for developing and executing communications across a variety of channels and audiences that meet business and organizational goals for the assigned product line within UCare, and that require creative and strategic communications to support the business objectives. Collaborate with business units across the organization to ensure all touch points articulate the UCare brand and UCare product brands. Create, facilitate, and execute strategic, actionable, high-quality and timely delivery of communications initiatives and tactics in coordination with marketing strategies and tied to key enrollment periods. Provide communications expertise, writing and editorial coordination and consultation for member growth and retention communications initiatives for assigned product(s), departments, or initiatives.

• Coordinate the writing, development, health literacy and production of communications supporting UCare's products, including onboarding materials, sales kit collaterals and health and wellness outreach, advertising, direct mail, displays, and any other materials assigned that support key stakeholders and strategic and annual plans and tactics that are product-specific or cross-promotional or as assigned, including writing copy content for web and digital channels to ensure consistent tone and messaging across all channels.

• Meet with key stakeholders to develop and execute measurable communications strategies and tactics that meet product and enrollment goals and align with marketing strategies. Ensure campaigns, messaging, and tactics align with and support achievement of the annual marketing strategies and plan, and communications plans and tactics.

• Provide input and collaborate with graphic designer on overall look to help ensure business owner and target audience goals and desired outcomes are being met overall, with final decision by design.

• Leverage opportunities to elevate and amplify brand awareness for assigned product(s) through opportunities to partner with other initiatives, departments, and required communications.

• Partner with market manager to design and implement enrollment-driven direct response marketing strategies that elicit specific, measurable responses, and deliver a call to action and outcome via direct or digital interaction for immediate engagement. Partner with outside vendors as needed to execute deliverables.

• Collaborate with ad agency partners on assigned product advertisement campaigns, including direct mail, based on communications and marketing plans.

• Collaborate with Government Relations staff to ensure compliance with CMS and other statutory requirements.

• Serve as an editorial resource and consultant to other departments on communications projects as requested, and work in a cross-functional or collaborative way with other areas of the organization and within the team.

• Guide editorial development of assigned products' quality improvement, disease management, and health promotion materials to support targeted STARS and National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) objectives and accreditation requirements.

• Serve as brand steward, ensuring consistent messaging, design and UCare "voice" and "tone" in communications.

• Adhere to the member material process mapping system, partner with traffic coordinator, and fulfill business owner and marketing communications roles as outlined in the process, and ensure timely turnaround to meet target deadlines for all materials and projects.

• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field; demonstrated experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Experience

Five years of corporate or non-profit communications or marketing experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Three years of direct response marketing and project management experience.

Preferred Experience

Health care communications, digital marketing, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), social media and media production experience. Familiarity with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) integration. Experience working in a government-regulated industry a plus. Proficiency in digital authoring platforms.
