A role in Indirect and Reverse Logistics (IRL) means managing the inbound throughput and placement of the indirect materials that are required to operate Target stores and distribution centers. Indirect includes order execution and movement, warehousing/storage, operations such as facility and 3PL management and inventory management including demand management and forecasting.

Take on a leadership role within IRL as a member of the Supplier Performance Management (SPM) team. Drive results in a fast pace, entrepreneurial setting in collaboration with a broad network of senior leaders, internal Global Supply Chain and Logistics and Procurement partners, and external suppliers for the indirect items, goods, and supplies required to operate our stores. As a Sr. Analyst, Supplier Performance Management for IRL, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the toolkit to maximize supplier performance within the indirect supply chain network.

As a Sr. Analyst, Supplier Performance Management, you will...
  • Work closely with other IRL teams to identify performance trends, understand process breakdowns, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Leverage problem solving skills to identify root cause, demonstrate deep understanding of issues, educate others, and build out new capabilities to improve performance.
  • Define, develop, and implement supplier performance and quality metrics (e.g. Fill Rate, On-Time Delivery, ship quality, etc.).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and hold them accountable to key performance and quality metrics.
  • Develop new processes and routines across IRL, Procurement, and external supplier partners to meet or exceed performance goals.
  • Identify trends from various dashboards and data sources to evaluate real time performance results, and implement any action plans as needed.
  • Create the standards and expectations for suppliers to deliver the ideal inventory level, in the optimal node, at the right time.
  • Partner with the IRL product team to develop tools and reporting capabilities as needed.
  • Become the expert on supplier performance for the broader IRL organization.
  • Scope of work and job duties may change at any time based on business need.

About you:
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Target Global Supply Chain and Logistics, Procurement, merchandising, or comparable experience.
  • Flexibility, resiliency, and nimbleness; comfortable working in 'grey areas' that are constantly changing.
  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and challenge the status quo.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority to leaders and peers.
  • Working understanding of Target supply chain network and Inventory Management fundamentals.
  • Ability to balance both short and long term priorities, and re-prioritize as needed.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skill sets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience within Inventory Management or Supplier Performance Management.
  • Undergraduate degree in supply chain, operations
