This position involves significant contact with the public, responding to complaints, conducting field inspections, helping people understand housing regulations and preparing reports.

The position works on a team to support code enforcement, rental licensing, housing inspections, and public health services for the city, with a primary focus on enforcing the city’s housing and property maintenance codes. The position performs professional work in code enforcement including complaint investigations, inspections and enforcement actions to protect the health and safety of the community.
