The role requires a flexible, self-disciplined individual with strong analytical and technical abilities with a passion for technology. A well-suited candidate will be able to work within a small team and with consultants to deliver software solutions. It is expected that the individual is committed to analyzing existing products, systems and processes and improving on them.

As a back-end developer, duties will include designing, programming, building new applications, maintaining existing applications and migrating legacy applications to cloud based solutions. Use of a variety of development languages is required but predominantly for deployment using AWS.

The Software Engineer role includes performing tasks associated with the defining, implementing, modifying, testing and deploying software applications.

Duties & Responsibilities

Implement software architecture, design and implement Web-APIs. Test, evaluate, and improve software code. Must be comfortable working in a constantly changing environment requiring a wide range of skills.

  • Gather design requirements from internal and external customers

  • Participate is setting organizational development strategy.

  • Create technology Proof of Concept

  • Refactoring existing code to meet requirements for flexibility and maintainability.

  • Coordinate software testing and quality assurance with QA Teams

Qualifications

  • BS and 5+ years of software development, programming and analytical experience

  • Thorough understanding of the current development tools such as Visual Studio.

  • Experience with application testing principles & frameworks

  • Experience with software programming languages including, but not limited to:

    • Microsoft C#, ASP.NET, HTML, SQL, TypeScript

    • Web Services - JSON, XML

    • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Experience

  • Familiarity with AWS would be beneficial
