QUALITY ASSURANCE ANALYST

CodeWeavers is a small international company based in St. Paul, Minnesota that enables customers to run Windows programs on macOS, Linux and Chrome OS using the open source Wine technology. We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team.

[About the position]

We are currently looking for talented individuals to join our Quality Assurance team. As a QA Analyst, you’ll work closely alongside our Development and Customer Support teams to improve our commercial software product (CrossOver) as well as OEM versions that we deliver to our professional services customers. This is a wide and varied role that includes games and productivity application testing, managing bugs from discovery to release, and delivering fabulous customer support.

[What you do]

• Test Windows programs and games on our software and report bugs against the behavior on Windows
• Build test versions of our software to confirm bug fixes 
• Ensure that release versions are suitable for customers before they go into the wild 
• Provide support and testing capacity for developers 
• Evaluate software for potential new customers and determine quantity and severity of bugs that would need to be fixed 
• Work with customers to reproduce problems and turn them into internal bugs
• Tackle your own projects while simultaneously assisting other team members with theirs

Requirements:

• Previous software testing experience
• Highly motivated to learn new skills and grow in a technology focused position
• Assertive personality and willingness to ask questions
• Flexible and able to quickly pivot in response to changing priorities
• Comfortable communicating with a team to coordinate on projects and convey availability as workload fluctuates

Bonus skills:

• Familiar with 2 or more of the following: Linux, macOS, Windows or Chrome OS operating systems
• Working knowledge of the command line
• Experience using
• Passion for Free and Open Source Software
