JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities and executing the order fulfillment plan. Strong communication, leadership, troubleshooting, and analytical skills are required. Manages the daily activities of shipping functions. Implements procedures to improve quality, productivity and efficiency. Ensures shipments are delivered in a timely manner. Maintains relationships with carrier vendors and consistently resolves customer issues. Regularly applies structured problem solving techniques to resolve chronic business issues that negatively impact company results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee domestic and international whole goods and truckload parts shipments to meet customer order requirements
  • Optimize load planning based on flow of goods from assembly, shipping labor, and freight
  • Communicate with Sales, Finance, and Demand Planning to ensure complete and on-time shipments to our customer base are maximized
  • Manage export compliance processes to ensure compliance with all U.S. export regulations
  • Represent the dealer network in negotiating freight methods and rates to optimize costs
  • Implement individual and departmental measurements for continuous improvement resulting in a positive effect on Controllable Profit Contribution (CPC)
  • Demonstrate high business acumen as it relates to the Ditch Witch business and underground construction industry. Possess deep knowledge of our product line, processes, and systems

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Office, factory floor, and outside work environments. The factory environment includes physical hazards such as powered vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic, sharp objects, and moving machinery
  • Rapidly changing demands, schedules, and deadlines
  • Occasional land and air travel
  • Flexible schedule as necessary to provide leadership and support to all shifts
  • Capable of lifting up to 10 pounds repetitively on occasion

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of five years of experience in Materials and/or Supply Chain positions. Certification in APICS curriculum a plus
  • Excellent computer skills (Windows, MS-Office). SAP experience mandatory
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with a high degree of energy and competitiveness balanced with impeccable integrity, attention to detail and a personable demeanor
  • High sense of urgency for delivery of customer satisfaction
