About This Opportunity

The HR Crisis Management Team is responsible for providing enterprise wide leadership & support in situations where the business is disrupted and team members are impacted due to crisis related events. As a member of Target's HR Crisis Management team, you will play an integral part in representing Human Resources working with internal, external and cross functional partners to mitigate and manage risks and associated impacts to the team & business. In addition, you'll participate in various partner projects providing the HR Crisis point of view.

As an accountable Sr Crisis Management Business Partner, you will:

Evolve, maintain & continually improve processes to create a modernized, sustainable approach to solutions for the HR Crisis Management Team; including working with HQ HR partners in various business disciplines, along with product owners and technology partners to implement operationalized and sustainable business capability solutions. You will be a centralized response resource, providing just-in-time crisis related direction & guidance to HR leaders at all levels in every part of the business (HQ, supply chain and stores) to manage incidents quickly and effectively, including, but not limited to:
  • Creation of communication materials and maintaining relevant crisis related resources
  • Support the daily processing of crisis related Critical Emergency (CEE) and related events
  • Establish and maintain connections with enterprise level HR partners providing programmatic business-specific guidance, planning and support
  • Promote crisis management strategy with critical internal and external partners to proactively ensure enterprise preparedness and response capabilities for our team during crisis events (examples; natural disasters, global pandemics, external disaster partner coordination)
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance in data processing and retention
  • Work independently via on-call rotation, managing incoming contacts and providing resolution to HR related issues - including nights and weekends

About You:
  • Minimum 4 year degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years prior experience in practical HR related support or direct ownership
  • Cross-functional knowledge of HR operational support (HQ, Store, GSCL or P&B)
  • Prior experience in Crisis Management related program management & support
  • Problem solver; ability to quickly assess, analyze and present solutions effectively
  • Strong verbal, written and presentations skills
  • Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word, SharePoint)
