A role in Global Inventory Management (GIM) means applying your specialized and well-informed point of view to what we buy, from whom, how much and where it needs to go from there. You'll use the right combination of data and expertise to achieve the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You'll also focus on the efficient transportation of product around the world, while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and achieving the best possible product availability through proper inventory positioning. You'll not only establish and develop great relationships with our vendors to encourage on-time shipment and delivery to stores and ultimately guests, but you'll also analyze transportation supplier capabilities and contracts for maximum speed, reliability and cost effectiveness.

As a Home & Hardlines Senior Manager on the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Team you will be responsible for building, leading and developing a high performing, diverse, inclusive and engaged S&OP Home and Hardlines pyramid-aligned team. You will lead, coach, and develop a team of Senior Analysts to build operational plans that ensure the supply chain is ready to deliver on the company's financial and strategic growth plans. You will develop best practices for your team and oversee their implementation. You will establish the vision for improved analytical models and reporting that will continuously improve plan accuracy over time and you will partner with Inventory Management, Merchandise Planning, Network Planning, and Field Operations to ensure plans appropriately balance business needs and operational constraints. Lastly, you'll play an active role in network synchronization; you'll be responsible for steering and influencing the Enterprise to make the appropriate inventory purchasing and positioning decisions to support our network capabilities.

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Build and develop a high performing, diverse, inclusive and engaged team.
  • Lead the Home & Hardlines pyramid through assembly of quarterly operational consensus plans.
  • Play a role in leading the inbound, storage and outbound problem solving needed to support network capabilities.
  • Deliver a weekly, business driven inbound, storage and outbound forecast for field staffing purposes.
  • Participate and represent S&OP in seasonally driven cross functional teams (Back to School/College, Q4, etc)
  • Play an active role in developing a roadmap of operational intelligence needs to support end to end inbound visibility and accuracy.


KEY KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with coaching and developing talent.
  • Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage/juggle numerous priorities effectively.
  • Consensus building, influencing and negotiating at senior levels.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Experience translating data from an array of sources into insights/go-forward recommendations.
  • Experience working with Inventory Planning and Control (IPC) recommended

About You:
  • Four-year degree in an analytical field or equivalent experience (ex. Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering)
  • 5+ years of work experience in supply chain management, inventory management or similar fields
  • Demonstrated ability to build high performing teams either through formal or informal leadership experiences
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skill set. A passion for coaching and developing these skills in others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including a demonstrated ability to distill information into actionable, persuasive insights
