Last Mile Operations at Target is responsible for moving E-Commerce shipments from our unique Omnichannel fulfillment network to our Guests' homes. Our mission is to do so in a way that meets Target's guest experience expectations and achieves enterprise financial and growth objectives. This role will be responsible for sourcing capacity solutions in support of that mission including identifying, vetting, negotiating contracts, and onboarding new last mile delivery providers.

As a Sr. Logistics Analyst, you will:
  • Identify and onboard last mile capacity providers to support last mile ship to home demand
  • In partnership with Strategic Sourcing, negotiate contract details with external providers
  • Support strategies and efforts to achieve delivery experience, sales and profitability objectives
  • Develop scalable solutions and key performance indicators to monitor supply chain performance
  • Perform complex data analysis to understand cost, capacity, and service potential of prospective last mile carriers
  • Streamline and simplify complex sourcing and contracting processes through technology
  • Use data and metrics to deeply understand the business, identify areas in need of improvement and measure the impact of actions.
  • Advocate for decisions based on what is good for Target holistically and act as agents for change instead of accepting the status quo.

About you:
  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience
  • Operational management experience
  • Expertise in SQL, ETL, and BI (Tableau, Domo, etc.) experience in a large-scale, complex business environment
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills
  • Data-driven approach to problem solving
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
  • Can make decisions with little to no guidance from manager or other leaders
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills


Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in distribution or transportation
  • Experience working on Big Data technologies like Hadoop and Hive
  • 6Sigma experience
